Position Overview: AGI is seeking an experienced Forklift Mechanic to join our team at ORD. As a Forklift Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our fleet of forklifts and other ground support equipment. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in forklift maintenance and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on forklifts and other ground support equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems with forklifts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems. Conduct regular inspections of forklifts to identify and address any potential issues or safety hazards. Replace worn or damaged parts and components, such as belts, hoses, bearings, and filters. Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to manufacturer recommendations and established maintenance schedules. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, parts usage, and equipment history. Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools, equipment, and parts inventory. Assist with other maintenance tasks and projects as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in forklift maintenance and repair. Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills. Knowledge of forklift systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulics. Familiarity with forklift maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance schedules. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics. Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Forklift certification is a plus.
